Queen Live at Earls Court in London on 06- June- 1977 , culminated Queen A Day At The Races Tour with two concerts in London's Earls Court Arena . According to the tour program only supposed to be a night at Earls Court, June 5 . The itinerary was changed due to the demand for tickets . The band left £ 50,000 in a new lighting system these shows , it was a gigantic crown - 25 feet high by 54 feet wide , weighing two tons . Queen pioneered many rock concerts shows , including the first mobile lighting equipment . The music of Chopin (the choice of Freddie ) plays as the audience enter the premises . At this point , one can barely see the stage , as the crown is only a few meters above it ( with black curtains underneath it ) and hide everything on stage , and causing some audience members to wonder where he will play Queen? ! Procession will start hearing ( revived only for Earls Court shows , and not to be used again ) A half crown slowly begins to rise, and is dry ice ( the first picture above was taken at that time ) . Queen then stormed the stage to play Tie Your Mother Down , and the show another night ago and Historical Epica .... thank you very much ... Gabriel
